The Process of Foundation Repair in Grand Prairie

The average foundation repair will take a few days to finish, depending on the severity of the damage. Most of that time involves excavating and drilling pilings underneath the home, then testing them. When Olshan Foundation Repair does this job, we take care of your property like it was our own. Our professional crews do their best to save your lawn and plants, and we also clean up after we have finished the job.

First, we conduct a soil core test. This is a 15 to 18-foot soil test that determines the depth needed for stable soil. Without this test, your foundation repair contractor is making guesses that could cost you later. In the northern Texas region, such as Grand Prairie, regulations require that you have to dig six to seven feet below the frost line. This is so that the pipes don’t freeze. In south Texas, that frost line is only a foot, so the stable soil might be higher.

After that, we do what is called boxing where we drill holes and follow the plan that we had for placing the pilings. The holes will be dug until stable soil has been found with the guidance of the test. Next, we put in the steel rebar and pour the concrete. The pier holes will be filled with the concrete, and the steel rebar will be added for extra reinforcement. Finally, we clean up the job site and haul away the dirt from the excavated holes.

Olshan Foundation Solutions pays special attention to the clean-up because we know that the client appreciates our efforts.  We do our best to focus on quality control with our foundation repairs. While Texas is infamous for structural damage, Olshan’s friendly technicians will stand behind you. We offer the patented Cable Lock ST Plus, which is our most popular solution, because of the improvements to cost, quality installation and long term reliability. It’s backed by a lifetime transferable warranty.
