If you look closely at this photo, you will notice a crew of workers. That crew is leveling the house, and they worked for Olshan Foundation Repair, in 1933. Our company started during the Great Depression, grew during W.W.II and stayed around to see the first astronauts land on the moon. The method of foundation repair used throughout that time involved the use of a concrete pad inserted just under the foundation of the home. It was not very expensive and it was quick to install, but it was limited by the technology of the time, and was only a temporary fix.

Then, in 1967, Olshan became the first company to receive VA & FHA approval for a new method of foundation repair using bell bottom piers. The bell bottom footing could be installed to depths of up to twelve feet, the bell could be checked, alignment could be verified and the concrete was steel reinforced. The bell bottom piers introduced by Olshan Foundation Repair proved to be the most advanced and reliable foundation repair system in the business. The average job took 3 weeks to complete!

Over the next twenty-five years Olshan continued installing bell bottom piers. Other systems were introduced, but none offered the strength and stability of concrete piers. Then, in 1989, a new system was introduced and we instantly recognized the advantages of this new system. This system is now called the Cable Lock™ Plus System. It was so unique, it was awarded a U.S. Patent No. 5,288,175. Since 1992, over 10,000 homes have been repaired using Cable Lock™ Plus.
